4 STAR Self-Evaluation – Introduction

Start working toward your 4 STAR designation by following these first steps!

 

1 Provide nutrition information for calories, sodium, transfats, saturated fats and sugars for food sold.
2 Stop serving deep fried foods.
3 Ensure fruits & vegetables, nuts & seeds, lower fat milk products, water and whole grain snacks are available daily.
4 Provide at least one vegetarian entree option daily.
5 Offer more foods lower in sodium.
6 Increase the availability of whole grain bread and bread products.
7 Reduce the portion sizes of high-calorie and sugary beverages and desserts.
8 Communicate your company’s commitment to the 4 STAR Food Environment Program to all employees.
